Hi, does anyone know if you can apply for a covid extension in Koh Tao. I see there is an immigration office, but unsure if you can apply for covid extension here? Thanks ☺️

Answer summary

The original poster is inquiring whether they can apply for a COVID extension at the immigration office in Koh Tao. Responses indicate that applying is possible and that the staff are friendly. However, there's conflicting information about whether Koh Tao has a functioning immigration office, with some suggesting that applicants might need to go to Koh Samui instead. A few commenters recommend checking local resources or calling the office for confirmation.

I think you should find a local Facebook group and ask there

You have to go to Koh Samui immigration.

It's best to call the office first or just go to Bangkok where it is more consistent.

I stayed in Koh Tao for a week a few months ago. Everyone I came across had to take a boat to Koh Samui, where they said the nearest office is. At the time, there was no open office in Koh Tao.

I think what

is saying is that asking at the IO will get (on average) a more reliable answer than FB
