My family and I arrived in BKK in March from the U.S. We received a 30 extension on our tourist visa one month later. The following month we flew to Laos to receive a 60 day tourist visa which we will extend by 30 days at the end of this month. My question is: will we have any issues going back to Laos (by air) for another 60 day tourist visa in August.? I was told US citizens are legible for the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry (tourist visa) twice by land or unlimmited by air and this is what I wish to confirm. Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the eligibility of US citizens to obtain multiple 30-day Visa Exempt Entries into Thailand by air after obtaining a 60-day tourist visa from Laos. Responses confirmed that US citizens can enter Thailand twice by land under the Visa Exempt entry policy and have unlimited visits by air. It was also suggested that travelers should visit different locations for visa runs to avoid complications.
I have heard there are generous limits to the visa exempt by air. Also, I would recommend going to different places each time you want to get a 60 day visa. I try never to be a repeat offender. Besides Lao is kinda boring and there are really cool places to go see.
you won't have a problem getting another tourist visa from the thai consulate in Vientiane. And after that you'll be able to get your ED visa there too.
We intend to fly there in August for a 60 day tourist visa then fly back for an education visa on November so that will be a total of 3 visits for us in one calendar year will that be ok?
It may be a little boring but it is by far the easiest one to go to and does not require any paperwork. Why go to a more 'interesting' location where you are more likely to have problems getting the visa. I usually only go for a night or 2 and book a decent hotel with a pool. Too easy.
Cam you can indeed but at some point the immigration officer is going to question you and possibly ask for proof of funds, proof of onward travel and proof of a hotel booking.
