Are UK passport holders still getting the 60 day visa exemption. Im traveling on Monday landing on 30 Jun.

Looks like the changes haven been published yet in the Thai Royal Gazzette.

Would be helpful if any recent UK passport holders could share which stamp they got. In the last couple of days.
Answer summary
Yes, UK passport holders are still receiving a 60-day visa exemption as of June 30, 2026, despite discussions and uncertainty about potential changes to the visa duration. Many recent travelers arriving in Thailand confirmed that they received a 60-day exemption stamp, with no immediate changes reflected in the Royal Gazette or enforced by immigration. However, there are indications that future changes might revert the exemption to 30 days after an official publication process.

Thailand makes a big deal of this 30 or 60

day visa exemption period. While Malaysia, Singapore and Japan are 90 days. weird

At the very least anyone arriving within the next 15 days will get a 60 day visa exempt stamp.

Still 60. Once published in gazette should stop 15 days later unless they specify a date.

I've a question. I return yearly with my Thai wife on a 3 month trip. Sometimes i stay 3 months, sometimes not. If my wife wants time with family i leave her to it. Now I'm not a tourist, I'm not a resident but I'm renting condos, hotels, spending money. Why can't they just give 90 days front. The 60 days then extend means hassle and a cost plus airline ticket change. I'm a net contributor. It's annoying

MagentaCranberry3002 why should they? It's not hard to get a non o visa that's good for 90 days

Amit Patel they didn’t ask me for anything… they didn’t even want to look at my TDAC document…. They take a photo of you and fingerprints whilst they stamp your passport. Worst part is the long queue….

Irene Huth IOs enforce the Rules. Likely, he was told they'd be published on July 1, but he likely didn't know it takes 15 days from then to be enforceable.

Irene Huth im landing 30 Jun. Hence the question. I like to do a settled 3 month holiday. Rather rush crap. N cram shit into 2 weeks. Im landinding 30 jun things havent been published in the gazette. Ypur kinda rdsppnses misinform people. I willl share my experience on the 30 of June.

Amit Patel where's the benefit in sharing your experience on the 30th of June? Everyone who's able to gather information correctly, knows that the stamp on that day will be 60 days.

As you also already said, it's not published yet and nobody knows when it will be published.
Irene ******

Amit Patel no intention of misinforming people. Only repeated what immigration told me early hours yesterday.

Won't bother next time

Amit Patel so at the moment there is no advantage spending the money to buy a visa . tourist visa gives you 60days.(£30) Visa exempt gives 60 days(£0)..Both can be extended once for 30 days at your local immigration office.for £45.....1900 thbhat
Paul ********
Paul ********
Irene Huth Impossible because needs to be published in Gazette until 15 days elapsed before becomes effective

Steven Summers its a shame they are peanalising people that want tp do a 3 month stay. Fair play its only dribble of cash for visa. But i wished the kept uk lot that wanna do a reasonable 2- 3 month trib an exemption. Is what it is.
Graham ******

Amit Patel They are not penalising them as they are reverting to exactly as it was less than 2 years ago when to get stamped in for 60 days you needed a Tourist Visa. Why should any nationality get special treatment (this coming from a Brit)?
