FCD accounts (foreign currency deposit) are accepted by Phuket immigration. I just renewed my retirement extension yesterday using such an account. Can anyone tell me if FCD accounts are accepted by Udon Thani immigration.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the acceptance of Foreign Currency Deposit (FCD) accounts at Thai immigration offices, specifically querying whether Udon Thani immigration accepts them for retirement visa renewals. A comment confirms that FCD accounts are accepted by all Thai immigration offices as long as the funds meet the necessary financial requirements when converted to Thai Baht.

As far as I know Foreign Currency Accounts are accepted by ALL the thai immigration offices in the country (as long as the foreign currency meets the financial requirements for the extension you're getting once it's converted to baht)

But the money must be in a THAI bank account. Is that correct ?
Funds in a foreign bank are not good for purpose. Correct ?
There is NOTHING (as in not one word) in the police order that governs extensions that prohibits foreign currency accounts in thai banks.
Definitely check with your new immigration office BUT if they try to feed you some crock 'o sh*t, stand your ground and ask for the rule saying you can't do it
