Can I work online as a digital nomad on a DTV visa obtained through Muay Thai training in Thailand?

I'd love nothing more than to train Muay Thai for a few years and BJJ. I know the facilities I'd like to attend and actually visited them in the past to inquire. Would the DTV visa allow me to work online as a digital nomad if I applied for the DTV using the Muay Thai route? I'd guess I could apply for either method but want to do so using the most simple and straight forward.
