More stuff about Visa denials etc.

My Gf is in Cebu. She went to the Thai Embassy there in pursuit of a 60 day tourist Visa.

They immediately said sorry there is nobody who can sign the visa and they did not Know when that person would be back.

then they said that all was OK but she needed a hotel booking (at least a day) as an invitation from me as a retiree in Thailand may not be accepted (although it has always been accepted in the past) .

So we get the hotel booking, and she went back today . they then said Oh they think that as she has had 70 days already in Thailand (2 visits visa on arrival with 1 extension) that she may not be issued a visa. they then came back after she told them to look at their own website , and said yes she needs a visa and cannot go and get a visa on arrival.

but again stated that there is nobody to act as signatory!

But that even with a 60 day tourist visa immigration in BKK may only give her 19 days! where the 19 days came from who knows!

They repeated that there is no signatory there .. so I told my gf to tell them how absurd that was .. they replied 'oh well there is a second signatory but they do not know if he will be available! .

UNBELIEVABLE.

so she will have wasted 5 days in Cebu , will have to canel her flights.

and decide whether to go to Manila and apply, but will they do the same thing ! ?

they told her No need to Pay !! well that pretty-well means that they are playing a game. also that they will call the second signatory before Thursday!!!
