Hello folks, thank you for your time.

Reading the site, I think this should work, the question is at the end.

Thai O-visa.

I intend to do it this way, feeling a bit uncofortable with agents opening an account and depositing the money for me.

1. Apply online with bank statements of last 3 months (concatenating them into a single .pdf) showing I have more than 800k THB in my account.

2. Go to Thai, get stamped with that visa (3 months) in my passport (Australian).

3. With condo purchase document (in my and wife name, 2008), go to City Council to get yellow book (wife and daughter have blue books for the same condo).

4. With the yellow book, go to Immigration to get residence document.

5. With all above (plus Thai marriage certificate) go to Bangkok Bank and open an account.

6. Once I have the account, register it with my Japan bank, takes them 2 weeks to do all their checks.

7. Transfer 800K THB into that newly open Thai account.

8. The funds have to season for 2 months.

Question: do I have to sit in Thai and wach the money age in the bank for 2 months?

Purchasing multiple entry, can I leave Thai and come back 2 months later while the original visa is still valid?

Thank you for reading my post and advice you might have for me and other members.

Just a quick follow-up on my post from 2 days ago. Today i finally extended my DTV at the Krabi Immigration Office after my third visit this week. (you can find my post in this group - use search)

additionaly to my listed documents i also had to:

- show my online banking account / app on phone with the money currently in the bank

- draw a map of where my house is located (hilarious)

- answer some questions like „what your work“, „where you stay before“, „telephone number“, „how much baht one euro“

- pay 2000 baht

As i was the first one in Krabi it was quite funny when they were searching the office for the new „DTV“ stamp. Which was still packaged 🤣

Hello, thank you for accepting my request to join. I’m going to Thailand on the 4th of May and I’m applying for a TR visa. Normally I can have a visa on arrival for 15 days but I want to stay for a month so I’m applying for a TR visa. I am joining a kung fu training camp for a few days and I have a confirmation payment letter from them I can use for my visa. My question is, in my visa there’s this coming up:

"Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency. “.

Do you know what this is? Is it a letter I have to have from my local embassy? I’m from Cyprus on an EU passport with settled status living in London. My local embassy is in London.

Thanks for your time and your help.
