Hello everyone. I am planning to fly to Thailand from the U.S. in August and stay there for 8 months. I am a little confused about my visa options since METV and STR will not be available at the time.

Anyone from the US staying long term in Thailand? I'm here on a 60-day visa (applied and received before arrival) and planning to get the 30-day extension. But I'm wondering after that the best way of extending my stay. After my extension can I go to a neighboring country to apply for another 60-day visa, or would this most likely be denied if they are back to back? Is it better to just leave and come back on a 30 day visa exempt and then try get another 30 day extension. And repeat... My boyfriend is working here, so I'm trying to figure out a way to stay long term with him (hopefully a year). Unfortunately I'm based on Koh Tao which doesn't seem to have any schools in order to get the ED visa. And I don't think I qualify for any other visas...any help would be much appreciated!
