If I was in Thailand in October for 4 weeks is it to soon to go back again for 60/90 days in January. Or should I apply for a DTV soft course or a ME Visa if I want to stay longer.
My first entry was on January 10th and I stayed for 13 days before flying to vietnam for a 10 day holiday .
I then re entered thailand on did 60 day + 30 extension and stayed a total.of 76 days
I returned to the UK for 2 months then entered again for 4 days before going to Vietnam for a 1 week holiday then entered thailand again for 14 days before going back to UK and not coming back to Thailand for 3 and half.months .
My last visit was from November 3rd to 23rd .
I don't live in Thailand I work offshore and visit thailand on a lot of my time off .
I only did the long 76 day stay as I fell sick in Thailand so couldn't return to work so extended my stay .
By the 10th January I would have been in Thailand a total of 152 days since I entered on 10 jan 2025 .
It's too late for me to get a visa before I fly now .
I intend to get a proper visa for next time .
Do.you guys think I will be ok entering this time ?
I have a few questions and would like to hear from people who have recent experience, because the political situation in Thailand is unstable and there have been some changes to visa regulations.
1. I’ve heard that visa extensions at Immigration can now only be extended for 7 days instead of 30 days. Is this true?
2. If applying for a tourist visa in Laos, is it still possible to get a 3-month visa?
3. What is the current situation regarding student (ED) visas? Has anyone been rejected recently?
What if Thailand denied entry November 28, 2025 and then didn’t go back to my origin country instead I stay December 2025 in Korea. Can I enter Thailand in January 2026 since reset next year.
I will be travelling to Thailand on January 7th 2026 for 3 weeks. I was in thailand for 2 weeks in April with a brief visit to Vietnam then back to Thailand for 4 days. Do you think i need a visa. Im a uk citizen with uk passport
Just wanna say my experience to get a tourist visa in Vietnam. It took 4 working days applying from HCMC embassy. They asked me why I applied for a tourist visa and I said because last time I entered IO told me to apply for one. I used an outbound cheap ticket from Krabi to Kuala Lumpur.
Now my question is: I have spent 52 days in the beginning of the year in Visa visa extemp, came back home 6 months and 67 from October in Thailand for a total of 119 days on 2025.
At the moment I'm in Vietnam and I would like to back for New year in Thailand. My idea was to travelling to laos because I wanna visit there first and enter by land from nong khai or could be that a problem and better fly to bkk airport and use a safe entry? Or atill better to wait january to come back?
Applied for DTV Visa for me and my girlfriend on the 1st December from HCMC Vietnam. Was asked for 6 months of bank statements, proof of work (portfolio) etc. provided all documents and got requested for more, motivation letter and source of funds. Mine has been approved, my girlfriends rejected. Absolutely gutted. She hit all the requirements and we are very unsure as to what possibly could have gone wrong. The whole process was extremely stressful and anxiety inducing and now has completely messed up my future plans for Thailand. Question, we have been in Thailand for 90 days from Feb - May 2025 and then was in England for 3 months. We then got back to Thailand end of August and left for Vietnam at the end of November. What’s our chances of getting a tourist visa approved for my girlfriend (not an exemption) ? This has thrown a complete spanner in the works and the fact that some people have been approved from 1 month of bank statements is genuinely concerning. Why are all the embassies requiring different things? Can’t believe it 😭
I got my DTV 1 year ago, while I was living in Thailand, but now I am moving to live in Japan, when I got my DTV it was the Muay Thai one, so now that I will not be in a Muay Thai Gym anymore, living in Japan, if I go as a tourist for a Week in Thailand, I would be going as a DTV Visa or a Tourist Visa? If as a DTV, since I am not in Muay Thai School anymore, there will be something wrong? How does it work? Thank you so much!
