Hi there, I'm a little way from enacting this plan, but I'm looking at relocating to Thailand in order to teach English. I'll be doing a CELTA course before looking for employment.
I've been advised to get an actual tourist visa from the embassy (I'm from the UK) in order to avoid questions for not having an onward flight. I've also been told to book a cheap outbound flight to a nearby country before my 90 days (60 + 30 renewal). Anyone been in this situation? Any advice?
Hey everyone, did anyone recieve the same like me? I came to Laos apply for DTV, had interview and then they send me Mail with: Youre Visa is approved, but then its not DTV its a Tourist Visa. The agency told in some cases they rejected it and gave a tourist visa..😕
Hi guys. Quick question. If i visit on a 30 day tourist visa and decide to extend it for another 30 do i need to fill another one of those new dtac forms at the same time? I think so but not 100% sure.
What is the expectation for the accommodation "Duration of stay (Days)"? For example, if you put 7 days, are they expecting additional info as to where you'll be thereafter?
wishing for some advice on which way to go initially …Tourist visa, Retirement or Marriage visa? I/we intend to reside in Thailand for just short of 6 months with a view to becoming more permanent later. Of course I would rather spend less time dealing with acquisition of visas as I come and go (staying longer later) mindful too of tax status.
What are my best most sensible options to consider if I have provided you enough info.
P.s seasoning of any funds is no issue as I have an existing primed bank account
I will be applying for my next visit for a tourist visa via the e-visa system, via the UK embassy.
Probably a simple answer, but it asks for proof of finances of no less than 20,000 baht. Will they accept the £ equivalent as shown on uk bank statements?
