Why was my application for Dependants Non-O visas for my children rejected?

Something interesting happened today. Hubby applied for his Non O-A Retirement visa and got it in May. I followed up by applying for Dependant Non-O visas for me and my children. My visa was approved but my children were rejected, saying that they need tourist visas. Im not super worried about it, because they will both be attending an accredited school and eligible for Educational visas. However I am confused, because my visa was approved as a dependant wife, but not the 2 biological children under 10... I did show my own proof of income, so maybe that had something to do with it? Im just genuinely curious is all. Has thus happened to anyone else?
Answer summary
The user shares their experience of successfully obtaining a Non-O-A Retirement visa for their spouse, while their application for Dependant Non-O visas for their children was rejected. The rejection stated that the children required tourist visas instead. The user expresses curiosity over the inconsistency, especially since they provided proof of income. They are not overly concerned as the children will attend an accredited school, making them eligible for Educational visas.

Becoming a Thai citizen (naturalization) is a lengthy process. To be eligible, you must have lived in Thailand for at least 5 consecutive years with a permanent residence permit, have a stable job with a work permit, pay income tax, and be able to speak and understand the Thai language well. [1, 2]

The main steps and requirements for naturalization are as follows:

Residence Status: You must have been a permanent resident for at least 5 years and be registered in the local population register (Tabien Baan).

Income and Taxes: You must demonstrate that you have a stable income and have paid income tax in Thailand during the preceding years.

Language Test: You must be able to speak, understand, and write the Thai language. The procedure involves an interview and a language test.

Conduct: You must have a clean criminal record and demonstrate respect for the Thai monarchy and constitution.

Renting: Thai law generally requires you to renounce your current nationality.
