Met Tod Daniels today at Immigration. Despite him telling me not to tell anyone, he's a pretty nice guy. Very knowledgeable with an earnest desire to help people. Thanks again for your help on the forum and it was nice meeting you. ;)

- Separate question - can/will they ever change the anniversary date if requested? Mine falls right in the midst of our available travel/vacation days ruining international travel plans.....I'd gladly give up a couple of months (earlier) to reset the annual date...
, in Bangkok you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.
I was going out to do my 90 day report and noticed I was 44 days before my expiration so decided to knock it out too.
They add the year onto your expiration date, so I didn't lose any days by going early.

You were extending for annual Apr in Feb ?

At least we know that Immigration treat all the same, even the living legend of Thai visa advice is facing wrong stamps in his passport but he followed the given advice in this group: Always check your stamps.

I had you down as Bangkok's top visa agent. Your shit mate! π

Tod, clearly she should have known better...sounds like something that happens to us mere mortals, 555! :-P
, at first she tried to tell me it didn't matter :O
I told her I have an extension from last year with the April 5 2018 expiration, I came here to get another year, not another 44 days ;)
That's when she put a piece of paper over the passport and tried to correct the stamp by re-stamping the year.

Despite getting there at 5:20 this morning and getting number 1 for the section I needed when they opened at 8:30, I still managed to get hung out to dry. :(
The section head was in a meeting until 10:30 and they didn't give back ANY passports until they got back at about 10:45 :/
Plus they stamped my extension with this years date instead of next years and they re-stamped it so it looks bogus :O
Anyway I'm done for another year at least.

I thought one can only get the yearly visa 1 month in advance?

Well Tod, now you kinda know how it feels, 555+ BUT...You Still Da Man!!!
He is actually a regular guy, just really smart, helpful and well informed....Was he wearing his "Stop Corruption" attire :-P?
