TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on health insurance plans in Thailand that cover outpatient services and the costs associated with full physical examinations. Comments highlight the variability in insurance pricing based on demographics and health conditions, with some users suggesting that individual lab tests may be a more cost-effective option for physicals compared to hospital packages. Specific pricing examples are shared, with one user mentioning a full physical at a hospital priced around 10,000 Baht to 16,000 Baht, while others provide recommendations for reliable hospitals and insurance brokers that assist expats.

I think Bumrungrad have offers on for health checkup packages at the moment. I have had a few in Thailand at 3 different hospitals. Bumrungrad was the best for me but the price reflects that too though.

I think you’d be a lot better off DIY-ing the physical by getting the blood work done at one of the labs in the city you live in - just look up what is the best or most reliable lab in the area - however keep in mind most of the labs probably do a good deal of the bloodwork through the local hospital. so the labs reputation may not matter as much as you think ! They generally are only gonna do the CBC and the other stuff in their own laboratory! Generally speaking a very comprehensive set of labs something much much more comprehensive than you’d get in the United States would run you about ฿3300 and then take those labs to a doctor and do the actual hands-on physical generally that’s gonna cost you another 1000 to 1500!

if you need a colonoscopy or other things, you will have to add that into the price. It just depends on what you mean by a very in detail physical.

A lot of hospitals will list their prices on website or you can get an answer pretty quickly if you text their Line account. I think BKK Pattaya was around 10k for a full physical last year (might have been a special)

The price of health insurance policies can vary so much depending on you age, past and present health conditions etc..

There’s definitely no “get it done for about 15,000” policies out there
