I am considering applying from the UK for a 60 day tourist visa. Could someone kindly tell me: does the 60 days start from the issue of the visa or from the date of entry in to Thailand? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60 days for a tourist visa in Thailand starts from the date of entry into the country, not from the date the visa is issued. The visa allows you to enter Thailand within 90 days of issue.

Entry at Thailand.

The visa is valid for 90 days from the day it's issued. This means you must enter Thailand within those 90 days.

When you enter Thailand you'll be stamped in for 60 days from the day you enter.
