What should I consider when re-entering Thailand on a 60-day Tourist Visa after multiple visits?

Hello everyone,

Just another post looking for advice on entering Thailand.

I just got a 60-day TR and would like to fly in from Hong Kong. I have been here for 3 months, and before that I was in Thailand for 3 months on another TR, before that, in my home country, USA, for a year. So 90 days in the past 15 months in Thailand.

I do have 2-3 years of visas in Thailand before all of this, so I do have some history with my visits. But none of it is current.

Given this history in addition to being out of Thailand for a while, I am curious about the best way to re-enter and not have any issues of being turned away.

Fly into BKK?

Fly into CNX?

Land border? Which one? (Such a hassle from Hong Kong to any land border.)

Appreciate any advice, thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to best re-enter Thailand on a 60-day Tourist Visa (TR), given their past travel history and recent stay out of the country. They are uncertain about the best entry point to avoid complications at immigration and are looking for suggestions on whether to fly into Bangkok (BKK), Chiang Mai (CNX), or use a land border to enter Thailand.

live in Bang Po Thailand but, other than a long history of visits with Tourist Visa's, Im a genuine Tourist. Please tell that to the Immigration Officer and I'm pretty sure he/she will make their decision and nobody on this site can tell you what that will be. Good luck and have the plan B ready, just in case.
