I've been to Thailand several times but taking advantage of the tourist visa from 30 to 60 GG. I am retired and from January I would like to stop a bit more, say 3 or 4 months. What are the available options? I read something on the embassy's website but some things were not clear .... thank you for accepting me and thank you for any advices

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, retired and having visited Thailand multiple times, seeks advice on how to extend their stay for 3 to 4 months beyond the standard tourist visa duration. They mention exploring the embassy's website but finding some information unclear. A commenter suggests that a 90-day stay is feasible through various visa options such as a Tourist Visa (with possible extensions) or a Non-O Visa for retirees over the age of 50, which allows for longer stays.

90 days is easy as there a few ways to get a 90 day stay without leaving Thailand (Tourist Visa (and, currently, Visa Exempt), 60 days + 30 days extension, Non-O over 50 (90 days)). Will you be visiting once a year or more because the Non-O over 50 plus the 12 month extension might suit such a plan?
