TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their positive experience of obtaining a retirement visa in Thailand, emphasizing that the process was straightforward and easy when they went to immigration with the correct information and completed forms. Commenters noted that experiences can vary based on the immigration office and officer, and suggested that additional details about the office and proof of funds could be helpful. They also mentioned the possibility of confusion between retirement visas and extensions of stay.

"Variable" is the only rule. My friend who has lived near chiang mai for 15 years was refused this year (he successfully appealed!). No room for complacency.
Congrats BUT when making a post like this it's good to state Which one out of the 70+ immigration offices in thailand you applied and how you met the proof of funds ;) ANd if there were anythings different from your previous year (map to the house, photo, etc)
Congratulations! It depends on which immigration office and the mood of immigration officer. I was doing Non-O based on marriage fourth year in row and it was the first year when all documentation was correct (Imm. Div. 1). In the previous years it was demonstration of their imagination what else to invent to annoy us... So this year we took everything, I even took results of my latest medical check-up, to avoid going there again...
