What is the process for Myanmar passport holders making a border run from Bangkok to Vientiane by train?

Coming back to Bangkok after a quick border run to Vientiane! 🇱🇦🇹🇭

Passport: Myanmar 🇲🇲

Visa: Thailand DTV — since April 2025

Immigration was fully completed inside the train stations on both sides of the border, which made the process quite convenient.

At Thai Immigration, the officer asked me only one question while stamping my departure:

“When will you be back?”

I answered: “Tomorrow.” 😄

At Lao Immigration, the entry process was also straightforward.

The only cash payment during the Lao immigration process was when departing Laos. I was asked to pay 10,000 Kip.
