That is very reassuring. Thanks for sharing. What airport? Airline also if I may ask? My understanding is that Air Asia customers arriving into Don Muang are more likely to be questioned than passengers arriving on full service carriers into Suvarnabhumi.

Anonieme deelnemer 772 you can also travel to another country before enter Thailand, but I gues that possibility still exist in case they refuse entry. Why did you plan this trip anyway, the problems not just appear out of nowhere.

Anonieme deelnemer 418 I think this whole story is not about fast track service that normally works, but about entrance into Thailand from Cambodia which is complicated because of the war between the countries, but maybe you just missed that.

That also means that your ChatGPT not gives correct answers.

Sometimes it is still necessary to use your own brains and not AI.

As John said, without a Thai girlfriend who does the speaking for you, no chance to enter Thailand.

LOL, some people need lots of attention but that might be because in real life the Girlfriends does all the talking.

Make sure you got the TDAC tdac.immigration.go.th and 20.000 Thb or equivalent in cash.

Best bring two girlfriends for extra communication. My friend's girlfriend always carries my printed DTV copy (A2, 420x594 mm). Just to be sure.

Never said that this is a must for all people, just said it was central in my case. Furthermore, did I ever say I have a Thai girlfriend?

do i need to care how you call your partner, girlfriend, wife, fiancee, or whatever she is for you?

And you claim you entered Thailand because she did all the talking.

- You are so silly. How about husband. And yes, the IO turned on the red light to send me away. The IO at the next booth spoke out to my partner telling HIM to move to another line. He didn’t realize that the other IO was talking to him, so I waved to him to inform him that the IO in the next line was trying to talk to him and have him move. My IO, realizing I am communicating with the Thai next in line then asked if I was traveling alone and I said no, he is my partner. IO then waved him up. They proceed to talk for 3-5 minutes, as if I am not there. IO flips the light back from red to green and stamps me in. I then move along. Once at baggage, I ask what was said and my partner informs me. So yes, clearly the IO was unwilling to communicate with me any longer but literally spoke to my partner back and forth for a long time and changed his mind. I don’t know why you have an issue with my responses, but I do see it is your MO, attack everyone online

I flew in on Friday from Phnom Penh with my DTV and had a difficult time, They were focused on the fact that I was coming from Cambodia and that I had spent a lot of time there. I was about to be sent to interrogation when they realized the next person in line was my partner (Thai) and then was allowed to step up and speak. IO told my partner there would have been a good chance I would have been denied entry as he saw the number of days and trips to Cambodia as a red flag

I've tried sending you a PM but either you haven't seen it or it didn't arrive. Anyway, sorry to hear about what you went through. I suspect your length of stay in Cambodia as opposed to frequent entries is what concerned the IO.

red flag? they win nothing by denying you. but if they let repeat visitors in for free, they won't make money on VIP service. just give them what they want and stop being scared. you're a guest here

Anonymous participant 418 - what do you mean? I literally wanted to use the vip/fast track service, so I don’t wait in line. I paid the fee online 2 days in advance, but the company called and told us that Immigration told them that travelers from Cambodia are no longer eligible for fast track services. So instead we used the priority lane because we flew business class. I also have the DTV visa which is a multi entry visa,

So there wasn't a separate line for people arriving from Cambodia? And don't mind Robert, he's always right and you can't argue with him.

Anonieme deelnemer For now just better not go from Cambodia to Thailand.

Thailand also advises Thai citizens not go to Cambodia and return if they are in Cambodia now.

Anonymous participant Honestly, I have no idea. I have entered Thailand on DTV multiple times, like many others and up until now, never had an issue. This issue had nothing to do win the visa and everything to do with them not liking farang having spent time in Cambodia, like somehow we are supporting their enemy. I was basically told not to go back to Cambodia and that I wouldn’t have a problem entering if I was coming from somewhere else next time (have work trips to Philippines and Indonesia in Feb).

Anonieme deelnemer 270 Just seeing or hearing the word Cambodia is for much Thai nowadays the trigger to get very angry.

Don't forget IO are also Thai citizens and human.

Anonymous participant 270 - IO got agitated as soon as he saw my ticket showed I came from Phnom Penh, before he opened up my passport. Not sure he could see a true travel pattern in that short of time, as I have stamps for Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kryg Republic, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Italy all in the last 2.5 years. Only thing you could really see is business visa stickers for Cambodia

is more important to note, but I guess you already saw this by now.

Thai are very nationalistic, when I hear my girlfriend about Cambodia that is shocking to me, and she is from southern Thailand, far away from Cambodia.
