Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I both applied for the Thailand Soft Power DTV visa through the Thai Embassy in The Hague, but unfortunately both of our applications were rejected.

My boyfriend applied with a Muay Thai program, and I applied with a cooking course.

Has anyone here been approved? If so, which Soft Power program did you use, and with which company or school? We'd really appreciate hearing about your experience and any recommendations.

Thank you!
Summary so far
The post inquires about experiences and recommendations for the Thailand Soft Power DTV visa after both the original poster and her boyfriend faced rejections of their applications. They seek insights into successful approvals, specifically related to Muay Thai and cooking courses. The comments primarily discuss issues related to required fields in the eVisa application, intended departure dates, and various opinions on whether to provide actual flight tickets, reflecting both confusion and shared advice concerning visa requirements.

Because you are posting wrong info and rubbish advice. You have NO IDEA HOW THIS WORKS, and you have NO PLACE in this group

Het probleem met de ziektekostenverzekering is niet dat ik non-o of non-oa kies. Maar dat ik niet de premie kan betalen als ik straks 70-75 jaar jong ben.

Dus nu op zoek naar een goede en betaalbare verzekering.

The intended departure date is a MANDATORY FIELD. Do you see the red asterixes? You can try just input any date within the 90 days, and pray that the embassy does not ask you for a real, already booked ticket out of Thailand within the 90 days. If they ask, just book a cheap one-way ticket like Air Asia Hat Yai to Kuala Lumpur for 36 Euro

wrong !! YOU COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG . . . . Intended date of arrival is the date of arrival in Thailand - the expected arrival date when you fly to Thailand. And the intended date of departure is your departure FROM Thailand. This date cannot be any further away than the duration of the stay permit you can expect to get stamped in when you arrive in Thailand. For the OP, this would be a stay permit of 90 days, and he needs to show a flight OUT OF Thailand WITHIN these 90 days (or first just input a date that fits, while HOPING the embassy will not ask him to upload a real flight ticket as proof.

intended date of arrival mean the date you are reaching Thailand or arriving Thailand. Intended date of departure mean the date you are departing your country or the date you are leaving your country for Thailand.

wrong. wrong. wrong. . . . . The intended date of departure is asked for EVERY visa application, regardless of the visa type

No, you do not need a return or onward ticket if you are entering Thailand with an approved Non-Immigrant O retirement visa. Because it is a long-term visa, Thai immigration regulations do not require proof of onward travel.

While Thai immigration does not require an onward ticket for a valid Non-O visa holder, airline gate agents in the US sometimes mistakenly apply tourist rules.

Carry a printed copy of your actual visa sticker in your passport to show the airline staff if they incorrectly ask for a return flight at check-in.

you are confusing the rules of Thai Immigration, with the rules enforced by the Thai Embassy ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ The topic of this thread is that the Thai EMBASSY and the E-Visa online system is asking for an onward or return ticket within 90 days. It clearly asks for the "intended date of departure". The e-visa system will ask this for EVERY application, regardless of the visa type you apply for. When you apply for the Non-Imm-O visa, it will ask for the intended date of departure. You can enter any date within the 90 days, but you must hope that the embassy will not ask to to upload a real ticket. THAT happens with many Thai embassies, unfortunately !

You are completely MISUNDESTANDING what I wrote . . . It depends on the Thai embassy. They CAN ask for a departure ticket. The airline and Thai Immigration will NOT ask for a return or onward ticket if you have a Non-Imm-O Visa. The topic is not Thai Immigration or the airline. The topic is the THAI EMBASSY. In the e-visa application, the Thai embassy is asking for the onward- or return-ticket proof. Your wires are crossed

verkeerd visum gekozen ... non-immigrant O retirement heeft geen eisen qua verzekering, non-immigrant O-A daarentegen wel.
