Regarding my question about SEA countries worth moving to I would like to sincerely thank you all. This group really is the hub of hubs of knowledge about SEA. Seriously, your helpfulness and the wide range of your information helped me narrow down my research and also made me see things more clearly. Thanks again. As to my unwise choice of the phrase "farang bashing" - I did not refer to the two "Swiss cases" although I think that even an admittedly unpleasant person doesn't deserve to be judged by some do-gooders and a xenophobic mob based on not so unambiguous evidence without a proper trial. Maybe the muggy heat and the micro dust were simply getting to me and making me paranoid. At the end of the day it is up to ourselves to live in harmony with the locals and enjoy this wonderful country.

Farang bashing was an interesting terminology. Don't worry about the nasty comments. I think there is much dissatisfaction amongst the Thais, they work their whole lives, live in not so great homes & the farang does nothing, lives in luxury homes, take over the beaches & seem to have endless money... I dont think that I would be amused if that happened in my country, it's enough to make anyone feel .... 🥺

"An admittedly unpleasant person doesn't deserve to be judged by some do-gooders" do you think he should he be judged by other "admittedly unpleasant people"? If I'm not mistaken, he has been "unpleasant" in the past with other locals. Also, if you think the mob is xenophobic as one of their own was disrespected, maybe Thailand isn't the place for you.
