What Should I Know Before Leaving Thailand After Living There for Several Years?

Hi all,

Just want to say that the admins and mods do a fantastic job in sometimes strange circumstances.

I am decamping from Thailand back to England tomorrow, I've been here 5.5 years, but that's enough for me. No bitterness or complaints from me, just not for me anymore. I will still come to Thailand for holidays, to miss the worst of the UK winters, but to live, no.

I don't envy you all some of the silly questions that will be asked when Thailand opens its borders and ends the amnesty, I'm guessing there'll be a lot of people who treated it as a freebie jolly and will be a tad upset when the rules kick back in. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thai visa advice page and a discussion starts and keeps on going about a quarantaine period if you enter the UK or England.

So time to lock another topic, please stay on topic.

Totally understand your decision. I've lived here for almost 15 years and if it wasn't for my commitment to the 80+ homeless cats and dogs in my care, I'd leave too.
