I've used UPS to send packages to myself on 4 different occasions. Other than one that experienced some flight delays coming out of China, everything arrived in good order within 4 or 5 days. Just before it's out for final delivery, I get an email notification to go to their website to pay whatever duty charges are involved. Once that has been completed then the delivery is made the next day.
My son sent the package UPS now they say it's at customs he paid over $400 to ship it here and they want me to pay $75 and some change to get it there's no way whatever you sent me is worth that much money
Thomas Ripley my son shipped me a few small items I told him to mail it but he shipped them UPS UPS said it would be here in 4 days but I didn't receive it so I'm looking for a different means they do have an office in Bangkok but then they have to subcontract it
I have used Thai Post, Fed-Ex and DHL. DHL has been the fastest and most reliable. Thai post is the cheapest but takes a lot longer and Fed-Ex falls in the middle. Personally I don't mind paying a little more for the speed and reliability of DHL.
