TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights significant delays in international mail delivery from Thailand to Canada, with estimates ranging up to three months. It appears that only boat services are available for certain types of mail due to flight restrictions, and DHL is suggested as the fastest option despite its costs. Some users also mention similar delays in local mail delivery within Canada and share their experiences with filing taxes remotely.

Yip, today I tired first the PO, 3 to 4 months to get to Ireland, they advised me to go to dhl office, 2 smaller items would’ve cost me 2909b ... so I’m back home again with the unsent mail!!

Even local mail is very slow in Canada right now. My past experience with Thai to Canada surface packages has been 4 months transit. OTOH, filing deadline postponed to June 30 and payments due back to August 31. I filed a simple return on the web with CRA recommended free software and it was painless and got my small refund in less than 3 weeks.
I filed my USA tax returns by scanning and emailing to my florida postal shop then they send by normal domestic mail. US doesn’t require original signature.
They said that no flights going out of the country so only by boat, which was 2 months and up. DHL is the only intl mail working now and its 0.5 kgs min even if you send lighter mail. Cannot send paper masks or any filters. They will check your package. Only reusable masks ok.
