Hello

Can anyone provide a reputable visa agent in Thailand to help with the visa process ?

Im not wanting to talk to a chat bot or AI I would like to talk to a real person who understands the process.
Answer summary
The original poster is seeking recommendations for reputable visa agents in Thailand, expressing a preference for personal interaction over automated services. Phil Rees an agency will not be able to help you either if you refuse to explain what you want to achieve and your circumstances.

Do you want to go on a 10 day holiday ? Do you want to start a business ? Are you looking to come live with your Thai wife here ?

Are you a billionaire or don't even have any money saved ?

Do you have a Thai parent and want to arrange for your Thai nationality ?

Phil Rees you can download a .pdf list of ALL available Thai visa types from the website of the Thai embassy in your country. Or visit the website of the Royal Thai Embassy The Hague, Netherlands. The list can easily be found and downloaded. It is in English. However be aware: A visa from an embassy outside of Thailand is one thing, but the extension of the stay permit by Immigration inside Thailand is a completely different thing

Graham Seal yes im sure but it can be very confusing as well as contradicting advise hence why I would prefer a reputable visa agency.

Phil Rees Graham is correct, much better that you get an understanding of your requirements by asking the knowledgeable people here first. If unsure who to believe, start with the moderators. Visa agents are selling a service and that might not always be the best route for you, but the most profitable for them.

Phil Rees you could still try to ask here, and then see which parts have cleared up, and which aspects are still confusing.

What is your goal ? What passport nation do you have ? How old are you ?

Phil Rees you will find the mods here very knowledgeable (from past experience). I ended up using an agent once in country simply because I did not want the mucking around.

Get a Non O whilst in NZ, it gives you a 90 day visa, once in country you can decide if you want to use an agent or do it yourself.

Phil Rees So as per your experience, you can't trust "just any" agent either.

If you insist on using an agent, then your trustworthy go-to choice should be Thai Visa Centre.

But you can still ask some preliminary questions first.

Which visa are you looking for , and why that particular one instead of possible other options ?

@Phil *****
if you apply for the 12 month Non-OA visa you do need a police check, insurance & medical certificate which is why you can normally only apply for that visa from your home country. But if you apply for the 90 day Non-O visa it requires none of those things and you can extend it by 12 months once inside Thailand

Phil Rees If you apply for a regular Non-O based on retirement you do not need any of that.

The thaievisa website where you apply is honestly pretty good with listing the requirements

OP
BC Farang true, but as an example re a visa agency,I have been told I need FBI clearance and a police check! Given that I explained im in New Zealand when talking to agencies it doesn't fill me with confidence that they have a full understanding of the process.
