Hi everyone! 😊

For those who have applied for the 5-year DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) to relocate to Thailand with your family, what agency did you use, and would you recommend them?

I know many people will suggest applying on our own, and I completely understand that it's possible. However, since I'm handling the process for my family, I would prefer to work with a reputable agency to ensure all our paperwork is accurate and everything is submitted correctly.

I'm perfectly fine with paying for professional assistance for the peace of mind.

I'd really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has personally used an agency and had a successful experience.

Thank you in advance!

You should never “relocate” with your family on a tourist visa. Especially not on one which starts getting cracked down on. The DTV is not a visa meant to live full time in Thailand on

I don't use any agent but I got the visa on remote work category. Applied in the country of my citizenship.

We're a young couple with no kids just 2 cats. After 2 years, it's kinda getting tiring everytime we go out and in Thailand because we dont know if they would let us in with this visa or not and kind living in fear. I don't know what the future holds but if I wanna build a life here, I need to work hard to pay for a better visa type. Just some thoughts and feeling I wanna share since you mentioned you would relocate with family.

Catathome Yourself and partner 'live in fear?' I'm sure as a remote online worker you've never even been asked to provide up-to-date payslips, employment contract and letter from employer. Sounds as if you're dissing and casting doubts upon the future of the DTV, scaremongering about being denied entry and being dismissive about the services of visa agents. You don't hold a DTV. Most likely you are a bitter old age pensioner.

For a family, your spouse and kids under 20 can apply as dependents with their own applications, plus marriage and birth certificates (translation or legalization requirements depend on the embassy). If you'd like a hand with the family file, I run dtv-thailand.com, happy to help.

Be prepared that DTV is not meant to live in Thailand.

For relocating a whole family you might consider not being dependant from a tourist visa with limitations.

That's your opinion only. Cultural course applicants and those with regular medical/dental treatment plans have to 'live' in Thailand in order to attend their classes/clinics. By confirmed reports, remote online workers pretty much spend all of their time in Thailand too.

For a family, the main applicant's file is the one to get right; dependents usually just need marriage/birth certificates (translated if not in English) plus the main DTV or application proof. If you want a hand with the file, I run dtv-thailand.com, happy to help.

For a family file the main thing is the dependent paperwork: marriage and birth certificates, translated and legalized if they're not in English, and some embassies also ask for extra funds per dependent. If you want a hand putting it all together, I run dtv-thailand.com, happy to help.

Do not use agents, They do not know how the Embassy in your resident country processes visa.

Take control of your future life as a responsible adult.

Use the manual in the top right corner of the application website.

Search the group for posts, and include the Embassy name in the search, prioritize posts after

Hey! We’re using Issa Compass at the moment - I did that based on comments from this group.

Seems pretty cost effective imo and you get an online portal to upload your docs too. They then update to either accept your docs or ask for further information. My understanding is they don’t charge you the full whack until they get you to pre approval stage.

We have someone in the office also emailing us, like a case manager, who can elaborate and update on things. Found it all very easy so far.

We’re about to submit this week so can’t vouch for the full process yet but they’ve responded back with very helpful notes. The bank account we were providing statements from (wise) looks like an investment account due to the interest feature so we’ve made changes there. They also pushed for more evidence of work (it’s a very new business).

I’m certain if we had submitted ourselves without their input that we’d have got rejected.

I will do my dependents visa myself because the evidence required is simple. But for the initial holders I think it’s worth it. Because we have a new business I was worried we’d be better applying for soft power which was why I enlisted an agency.
