Hi there. Can anyone recommend a hotel near the Kota Bharu embassy? My mum and daughter will be off to get their visas tomorrow.

You did notice on the Announcement about consulate closures at the top of the page that Kota Bharu is closed this Sunday right? (Their normal hours are Sunday until Thursday)

Yes :) they will get there Sunday and go to the consulate first thing on Monday.

To be honest it is really not the greatest town and the hotels are shabby and pretty dirty. Dont expect much at all. Most people stay at the Diamond which is within walking distance to the consulate. It's just a Visa run so a bed and a bathroom all they need really

I’ve been twice and both places looked nice and modern but had ants and cockroaches in them. Either way, the better one of the two, and walking distance, was this one:

When I was last there it was strictly Muslim, and I wouldn't of thought, that such a Terrible,and destructive thing as Porn, would be able to be seen by any human whatsoever. Especially in an hotel publicly available..!
