TLDR : Answer Summary
The re-entry permit stamp service is indeed still available at Suvarnabhumi airport, but it's recommended to inform an immigration officer to access the service. Note that it can only be obtained on the day of your flight, and you need a boarding pass to enter the secure area.

-- FYI, I did go out to the airport. I did tell the officer that I wanted to buy a Re-entry Permit. He informed me that at that location this can be done ONLY on the day you fly out. They Will NOT allow you entry into the secure area without a Boarding Pass.

correct, you have to be flying OUT to buy a re-entry permit at the airport(s) :/ Sorry I didn't state that ..

100% it IS open,

BUT

you might have to tell an immigration officer or security guard you want to use the service so they can get someone to the desk.

I recommend getting a reentry stamp at your local immigration office, if possible. The immigration offices are still empty, and shouldn't take a long time to get.

Remember too, if you leave Thailand, AS OF RIGHT NOW, you may not be able to return.

This is understandable for sure, thank you. However, my colleagues in Pattaya report that immigration is overpacked with foreigners now, making it more difficult to receive the service quickly.

Strange, I was in Pattaya immigration the other day and it was near empty. I didn’t see 1 person waiting for a reentry permit.

What are they needing to get done in Pattaya? The amnesty exists to let people not go to immigration

I guess, most people are worried already about amnesty coming to an end in 3 weeks.
