TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on the effectiveness of using Revolut for cash transfers and withdrawals in Thailand. Key points include that while Revolut works well for card payments at high-end venues, it may not be accepted everywhere. Users highlighted that ATM withdrawals incur substantial fees (250 baht per transaction) and that Wise may offer better exchange rates for transferring money. Bringing cash and exchanging it at reliable places is suggested as a practical approach for expats.
The ONLY bank in Thailand that has a chartered branch in the USA.
I send myself money domestically to Bangkok Bank in New York City and when I wake up, the money is available in Thailand

depends on what you want to do… withdraw money with your revolut card? i think there is a 200€$£ limit per month for free withdrawals in the free version and like 800 in the metal subscription… use it for online services? yes good for that. to transfer money into thai bank accounts? yes good for that…. to pay at shops? not good. many shops will put up to 3% vendor fee onto your bill for card payments.
the best way is to bring as much cash as your are comfortable taking with you. clean bills (!) and exchange them at a superrich exchange for example or any other that has a decent rate.
besides that you can just withdraw money from the atm with your home bank card. depends on their fees too. but the atm will charge you 220 or 250 baht per transaction. so if you use the atm then take out 30k baht (its the maximum for yellow and green atm).

If you mean transfer from your currency to baht, easy to change. But Wise has better rates.

No really sure what you’re asking. Revolut (as in a physical or ecard) will work with places that accept card payments (high end restaurants and hotels and the like) but won’t work with cheaper places or street food type places.
You can use your card to get cash at an ATM but you’ll be charged 250 baht for the transaction regardless of the amount you withdraw.
