Is it mandatory to include two years of tax returns for DTV visa applications for business owners?

Is it mandatory to include two years of personal or business tax returns for DTV visa applicants who are business owners? I plan to apply in Ho Chi Minh City. My 2 businesses tax returns for the past two years show losses because I run an online retail business and reinvest profits into inventory without loans or debt. I also claim owner's distributions; my wife and I have a combined monthly income feom business of approximately $5,000. Will these losses stated in my tax returns negatively affect my DTV visa approval?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For DTV visa applicants who are business owners, it is not mandatory to submit two years of personal or business tax returns. The primary financial requirement is to have at least 500,000 THB in a personal bank account, and there is no minimum income requirement. While tax returns are not essential, they serve as a verification of your business existence.

They just want to see that you file taxes and are a legit business or get payslips etc. it's a verification of the business, not it's viability.

Anonymous participant don't look at the requirements as they can request almost anything, look using the search tool in this group to see what others have stated about their experience at HCMC

Anonymous participant don't submit them initially, but if your research shows the particular embassy always requires it, then you're just delaying the inevitable. Absolutely a very brief cover letter helps

thank you! So il skip that part. If i have the 500k and i have stocks portfolio, should i add it (show the stocks portfolio) to add weight to the 500k just in case

Anonymous participant No I would not add stocks portfolio. You have the 500K so you meet the financial criteria. Showing more than the 500k to your bank balance will be better than adding stock portfolio.

Anonymous participant if they ask for the tax returns then submit. Focus on the bus registration, portfolio statements plus letter giving yourself permission to work remotely in Thailand.
