TLDR : Answer Summary
To file a 90-day report in Thailand, you may use the immigration web portal or designated mobile applications, but you must do so within 15 days of the reporting deadline and after having filed in person previously. There is no fee for the initial in-person filing; subsequent reports can be done online. Since your girlfriend signed the lease under her name, you can still proceed with the report by complying with the system requirements, ensuring all information is accurately filled out. If you encounter issues with the online system, several troubleshooting tips are available to help resolve them.
BUT you need to be within the window of 15 days prior to the due date, AND to have filed one in person.
If the 90 day online report system does not work, AND youâre between the due date and 15 days prior to the due date, AND you already filed one 90 day report in person, there are some troubleshooting techniques you can use to try and get the system to work for you.
1. Make sure youâre filling in the information, and only the information, requested.
2. Make sure you are keying in the date and month correctly
3. Turn off any pop-up blockers
4. Turn off any auto-translate
5. Turn off any VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) that you may be using - including any data saving applications
6. If youâre using one of the applications, use the web-based system
7. If youâre using the web based system, try using a different browser and clear the cache.
8. Make sure your web browser isnât automatically filling in the forms.
9. Make sure you arenât confusing âOâ(Oh) with â0â (zero)
10. If youâre keying your date manually, try using the drop-down date selection box
If the system still doesnât work, then you may need to file it in person.
What contract? The 90 Day Report has nothing to do with a contract?
And did you give the agent a big pile of money to stay here? Or did you give him about 1K THB to collect your paperwork and take you to the local immigration office?
A 90 day report needs to be done every 90 days. You or the property owner also have to submit a TM30 no later then 24 hours after you start staying at a location.
You, or the property owner, have to submit a TM30 no later then 24 business hours after starting to stay in a resident, otherwise the fine is 1,600 THB. Have your property owner watch this video from the Thai government here:
