TLDR : Answer Summary
Many expats in Thailand share mixed experiences regarding working UK hours (8/9am to 4/5pm UK time). Some find it challenging, especially when the UK moves to daylight saving time, making the time difference 7 hours. However, others adapt their schedules, noting that it can be manageable with adjustments. Experiences vary, with some individuals enjoying the flexibility and opportunities that remote work provides, while others mention that nontraditional hours can be difficult.

I don’t I work 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm depending on requirements and that changes for winter time.

I get a few quiet hours on the morning to get on with tasks before uk and Europe wake up then deal with them for a few hours.

I did it during Covid and no issues whatsoever. Gave me chance to get on the bike in the morning and was in a hotel by 1pm ready to go on Teams. Used to finish a little early and still be able to get food and a beer.

is 24hrs a day, as with gas station. Banks and government close for lunch, small shops 7am to 8pm. farming go with the season. I think , even in the UK, theres no such thing as 9 to 5. Except for Dolly Parton maybe.
