I need to find someone like a Justice of the Peace or solicitor to validate my identity for me on a form I need to send to the UK. It seems an emailed photo of my passport needs validating on a form to say it's definitely me. Can any one recommend someone please? Cheers!
Answer summary
The user is seeking recommendations for a professional, such as a Justice of the Peace or solicitor, to validate their identity for a UK form that requires an official confirmation of their passport. Several commenters suggest options including visiting a Thai lawyer, using services from the police or embassy, or consulting a local professional such as a dentist or doctor. Specific recommendations were made for locations and services, urging that it's best to consider where the user is located in Thailand, especially mentioning Hua Yai and Bangkok.

With mine from NZ can also use police or Doctor.

I usually go to the hospital and a Doctor signs and stamps it. No problems in 5 years here

I have used a Thai Lawyer who was also a Notary and stamped my documents with both stamps. This was to verify proof of life for pension funds.

My experience, If in Bangkok, Aus embassy does passport certification, 800 THB, walk in, no appointment. I needed it to get my Aus SuperAnnaution money transferred to my overseas account. Paper mail to Aus only.

Aus copies most of the UK practices, check with the UK embassy if it is like that with them before going to agents and lawyers.

Frencharabs_are_pests Notary services are when you need someone (legal) to certify that it was you who signed a document. They do not do passport certifications.
