I’m seeing a lot of posts about Muy Thai but non answering my question say I do 6 month course do I need to renew and keep going for the whole duration of my stay

* after 180 Days upon re entry or renewal of visa at immigration will I need a renewed membership for muy Thai gym?

* is there a mandatory amount of time or classes I have to attend ?

* what if I decide I don’t like that gym and decide to switch locations?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion clarifies that for those on a long-term visa connected to a Muay Thai course, you do not need to renew your gym membership or provide proof of attendance to stay compliant with visa regulations. Although there were initial concerns about potential changes in policy, current practice allows flexibility; once the visa is obtained, there are no mandatory class attendance requirements, and individuals can switch gyms without issue.

Anonym deltagare 764 it has been answered in the comments - the only answers that can be given at this point!

People that have entered multiple times on their DTV have not been asked to show any additional documents.

No one has done an extension yet so there are no reports from anyone.

No one knows for sure what happens in the future - if they will request anything new for extensions or if the requierments for the visa will change.

There are no rules in place now so any changes made in the future don't concern you for the five years the visa is valid for. You are grandfathered in to any changes. That's how Thailand operates with something new, like this visa.

cool as a breeze. Let’s hope it’s like that haha

I am pretty sure there is a chance they will rethink the whole idea about how DTV can be obtained with a few weeks training or cooking class in the nearest future cause it makes no sense as all as a long term visa

Once you get the visa it's yours. In country extension might likely require resubmitting updated paperwork, border crossings likely won't.

As it stands you just need the one course which gets you a 5 year visa

There are rumors that immigration might ask for further courses when the course expires but that would be a massive betrayal and a can't see it happening but you never know for sure.

As it stands we ( I run a gym) are not asked to report attendance or monitor students in any way. So I guess you can go and train somewhere else no problem.
