TLDR : Answer Summary
Vaping is illegal in Thailand, and bringing electronic cigarettes or vape devices into the country can lead to confiscation or legal issues. While disposable vapes can be purchased upon arrival in Thailand, it's advised to avoid bringing them to prevent any potential fines or penalties. Use caution even if vapes appear to be used publicly, as foreigners might be targeted by authorities.

Don't BRING any of these devices, they're JAIL associated here.
However, you'll be able to buy some HERE, under the table (markets), despite the fact that their commerce and use are both prohibited in the country.
Jail, absolutely no. The authorities don't have time to jail people on such frivolous charges. A fine/bribe is what you may face though.

Don't transit vape through the airport. Easy to buy disposables in tourist spots but use discreetly, even if Thais are using them openly. It's illegal but use common sense and you'll be fine.

If you vape you're not an ex-smoker. Use this trip as an opportunity to quit. You'll find the food tastes much better

Vaping is illegal in Thailand by law. Disregard the local Thais that vapes openly or discreetly. It doesn't mean that it's okay for you to do so too..
You are a foreigner and that makes you an easy target.
Having said that, it's up to you to listen up or totally ignore the warnings in the comments here by others. Just don't complain in here when you get caught, ok.. happy holidays in Thailand. 😅
Well, like I've said, as long as you're discreet it will be OK. There is no such thing as one law for foreigners and one for Thais (other than immigration and work related rules of course).
So you're saying they're applying double standards? I'm pretty sure it's fine for a foreigner to vape anywhere a Thai is vaping BUT that doesn't mean you should do it openly. I usually see Thais do so discreetly too.
there's always double standard unfortunately.. even some cops do vape too... 😎.
If you see a thai doing so, it doesn't mean that it's alright for a foreigner to follow suit.
Like it or not, the law says it's illegal.

You can bring it. You can smoke it in your hotel, no issues. You will see people smoking them everywhere, including in bars. Just ask staff if it’s ok before you do. And don’t blatantly use it in front of police.

While it is not legal, chances that you will be picked for a search and they find your little toys are close to nil... ! :-)
This is one comment I can finally agree with you on. Chances of getting caught are miniscule, but I wouldn't necessarily walk past Pattaya police station while vaping.
If you vape, are you really an ex-smoker? I'm also sorry that you have a hard time writing the letter "e", I hope your can get therapy to help in the future.
