Can I drive a rented motorbike into Cambodia? I have a Philippine driving license that according to what I've read should be valid in all ASEAN countries, also according to the renter of the bike.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot drive a rented motorbike into Cambodia. Rental companies typically prohibit this and require ownership documentation to take a vehicle across the border. The consensus from the comments is that you need to be the owner of the bike with proper registration papers to travel into another country, and the safest option would be to park the bike at the border and continue your journey via bus.

You need purple book to take vehicles to another country. Must be the owner.

No !!!

It has to be your bike

You require paperwork!!!

And you have to register your bike when you cross

The only way you can is if it's with a tour group, otherwise bike needs to be in your name.

You cannot. You need the registration book in your name to be able take it across the border.

Ask the place you will rent it from.

No you cannot. You have to be the owner and show ownership papers to take a vehicle into another country. The rental company also would never allow it.
