TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you are still allowed to fly to Thailand on January 21st if you have your Thailand Pass approved. While the new rules are set to apply for those applying for the Pass after January 10th, those who have been approved before that date can travel as planned. Be aware that additional requirements, such as a second COVID-19 test after arrival, may apply. Keep an eye out for any updates prior to your flight date as regulations may change.

I’ve just sent out a special newsletter with full details about what is really happening based on my telephone conversation with a senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Approved(QR issued) = OK to fly. They added 2 additional covid tests after you arrive. That's it for now. It could be different by 21-Jan. Just stay tuned in case new requirements get added. It's only been a week since Omicron was identified here...they are bracing for its impact, so I expect week-by-week revisions as things evolve.

The new rule is only applicable for new applicants for Pass.
