do you think I can find a condo for one year lease within five days in jomtien? Just wondering how many hotel nights to book?
Answer summary
Finding a condo for a one-year lease in Jomtien within five days can be challenging, especially if you have specific preferences regarding location and amenities. While some commenters suggest that it may be feasible, they recommend allowing up to a week for a thorough search. Renting an Airbnb or short-term accommodation for a month may be a better strategy to ensure you find a condo that suits your needs, as it gives you time to explore various options and locations. Some suggested specific areas and buildings with good availability, stressing the importance of location and having a view.

worth checking the lobby blackboard of the View Talay 5C and 5D. Many rental opportunities posted. It's a perfect location . .right across the foreign products supermarket and the bus station to the airport. Also check out View Talay 2A and 2B right next (older and thus cheaper)

Without visiting bars, massage shops, soapys, and w shops, add at least 25 days to your search.

Yes.But will you regret it after a month?Probably. But better to rent something for a month. Pay the premium to give you time to find something you'll really enjoy for a year. It'll be worth it.

your best bet is to hire a scooter and drive around to the different condos and just ask the jurisitc person what they have. check Google maps for review and the location. agents are mostly useless and online listings are usually out of date

Mark Cummings can just walk and find dozens. Obviously depends facilities you requie and budget can pay 10k a month to sky is the limit! Higher you go plus better seaview more expensive rent. Also check price of water & electric as many overcharge whilst others have meter direct to government

OP
Martin Danois but how do you do it? Do you go into those places or look for those places on Facebook marketplace or use Alan Bolton property management?

Mark Cummings Yeah, just contact via Marketplace. Though many would probably say no, go in person. Do you know the area ?

Best location is around the corner of Thap Phraya Road and Jomtien Beach road 1. The corner where Thap Phraya meets the water and bends south. There are 3 big condos. View Talay 5, Jomtien Plaza Condotel (where I live) and the 2 tall Jomtien Complex buildings. Best location with ocean views. Why live there if no view? Always a few for rent. There’s a few on Jomtien 2nd road with views also. And a few down Jomtien beach to the south. Cetus and View Talay 8. Agree with comment the new tall condos with small sq ft and small balconies have tons of Chinese tourist. Thats ok if you’re a tourist but for day to day life…too crowded. IMO

It depends if you know what you want or not and how flexible you are. There are plenty of units available for immediate occupation but you may want to shop around a little?

When I arrived I found the unit I wanted immediately but I knew which building I was looking for and type of condo and was lucky that a perfect fit was available.

Was just there.

No way that I wouldn’t get an air bnb for a month first .

Why?

Location Location Location

The new tall buildings have elevators that take up to 15 to 20 minutes!

Rent from an owner otherwise the mgt rep can literally take your deposit and walk away. The contract is with the owner!!!!

Safe parking for your scooter.

Forget if it’s above the 12th floor that you don’t get the bugs!

Basically research!

Good news is I love that area and I would have to have a view!!!

Stayed here. Sorry to say it wasn’t worth it. By soi 8

Brand new building 2 streets over from it and I started doing research.

Also not sure but as far as bugs go it’s pretty common.

Maybe try AI or talk to other people.

OP
Christian Martin whoa never heard that about the elevator before and what about the bugs?

5 days could be a little challenging particularly if you are a little fussy about the condo and location..

Personally I would want to see several and shop around a bit if I was planning on a 1 year lease..

How many do you expect see in just a couple of days?

You can find some quite reasonably priced and decent hotel accommodation in Pattaya so I would be allow at least 10 days and don't rush..

1 year in a condo you are not entirely happy with will feel like a long time if you don't get the right place..
