Hi everyone. I am currently on a Non-B visa but I am leaving the school and want to change to a Non-ED visa. Do i have to wait for the borders to open again before I can change visas?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can change from a Non-B visa to a Non-ED visa after leaving their school, and whether they need to wait for borders to reopen to do so. Commenters inquire about the user's current visa status and suggest confirming with the school about the ED visa application process.

Hi Tony, it may be relevant to mention in your enquiry that you are already a student at a university in Thailand (STC) that is willing (and able) to supply you with the paperwork. Your problem is switching from your existing visa (be specific as to what this is) to an ED visa in country.

You MIGHT, as in may be able to, cancel the extension based on employment and then immediately apply for a new extension based on study (especially seeing as you're enrolled in a real university). I would say either have the college call immigrations and ask, OR you go out and ask on your own. Face it you're far from the first foreigner to be enrolled in STC, and they do have contacts at immigrations to call and ask this question.

Are you on an extension of stay based on employment from the immigration office OR are you on the original entry of a Non-B VISA?
