TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Retirement Visa in Thailand, funds can be deposited from an overseas source not only by the applicant but also by anyone. However, for the initial 90 day Non-O visa application, the source of the funds must be proven to be from abroad.

For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
The ONLY time you need to prove that the money was transferred in from abroad is when you apply for the initial 90 day Non-O visa at the immigration office. As long as you're depositing it into a thai bank account in your name only there is no way they'd know who sent the money as it's not on the bank book transfer code, and they don't ask about it
Are you using monthly transfers to show you meet the financial requirements OR are you transferring in one lump sum to hit the 800K baht banked money requirement?
