A friend is changing her tourist visa to a Non Imm "B" visa in Thailand. All documents have been submitted and it's now under the "14 days consideration" period. Immigration stamped July 30 as the day to come back and pick up her new visa. That is also the last day of her tourist visa. Friday, July 27 is a buddhist holiday. Monday, July 30 is the observance of the King's birthday. Question: Because of the holidays, do you think the visa might be able to be picked up on Thursday, July 26th? Or if she goes on Tuesday the 31st, will she be charged with overstaying her tourist visa by 1 day?
We will call immigration to double check, but would like any input if someone has been in a situation like this before. Thanks
