Will I face issues re-entering Thailand after multiple tourist visa extensions and stays?

Hey fellow travelers, quick question about my tourist entries into Thailand this year. Currently here on tourist visa (60 days) plus I extended 30 days few days ago, leaving for Philippines when that ends. Last April did the exact trip 60 days plus 30 on tourist visa, so heard their cracking down on this sort of visits. I was planning on returning beginning of February for another 60 +30 visit. I’m I going to get that interview and possible explosion?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is concerned about potential scrutiny from immigration authorities upon re-entering Thailand after extended stays on tourist visas. Given their history of multiple entries and extensions, community members offered advice emphasizing the importance of having proof of accommodation, sufficient funds, and onward travel arrangements. Some suggest that there may be increased scrutiny for long-term stays, while others affirm that there isn't a strict crackdown on tourist visas but rather a monitoring of individuals who appear to be living in Thailand without official status.

No crackdown on tourist visas but exempt stamps yes

Gilbert Fierro ok you've been entering Thailand without a Visa ie VISA EXEMPT. Maintain your a tourist and have:

฿20k baht or equivalent in your pocket

Accomodation details

Onward travel ticket within 60-days

Graham Seal yes sir, never a problem until now. Always did extensions and border runs last several years to visit here (resident of Philippines but love staying here for several months)

Gilbert Fierro So another visa will be fine as the increased scrutiny is for those without visas

I think you get 7 days extension under the new visa rules. In 1 Year only one time 30 days and 2 time 7 days.

Ralph Burggraaff thank you, expecting 7 days if I get in. Very confused about calendar year thing, I thought everything resets January 1

Gilbert Fierro no resets.

IO’s look at your pattern and it’s up to them.

If it looks like you are spending a lot of time in Thailand, without a visa, you may be interviewed or you may be refused entry.

When you return make sure you have accommodation booked, a ticket out of Thailand and 20k baht or equivalent in cash.

Nobody is ‘cracking down’ on visa exempt 60+30 tourism. That’s what they love the most. Come and enjoy

Your first trip to this trip is probably not a problem. I mean, you did get in. LOL. However, once you leave this time and come right back in for another 60+30, the next time you come in you WILL likely have a problem presumably for your next trip I because you would then have 180 days almost consecutively with only a slight break, and they would consider that to be someone trying to live in Thailand on tourist visa. That is what they’re fighting.
