I've flown out twice at 6 month mark. Now I'm living closer to laos and I'm wondering if it would be the same as flying out, or would I be asked to show documents again?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation centers around concerns about potential questioning and documentation required when crossing the border from Laos into Thailand after a 6-month stay. While one commenter suggests simply presenting the e-visa, another shares an experience of increased scrutiny at the Nong Khai-Vientiane border, indicating that policies may vary and travelers could be asked questions regardless of documentation.

I have a Burmese friend (DTV holder) who did a border run to Vientiane last month. When she came back in through the land border gate, she was sent to a room and questioned by a "supervisor" IO on what she's gonna do, where she lives, how long she's gonna stay in Thailand. She didn't have to show any documents or bank accounts and finally let through into Thailand but she had to wait for about an hour to be questioned by this "supervisor".
At least for the burmese, the Nong Khai-Vientiane land border is getting stricter.
