Where can I get tested for allergies in Thailand and how should I communicate my allergies in restaurants?

I recently (and very scarily!) found out I have an allergy to (what I think) stone fruits. I went into anaphylactic shock but was treated. However, I'm pretty cautious now about what I eat as I have no idea what else I could be allergic too, I was never allergic before. I now have an EpiPen in case anything happens. But good old UK NHS can't test me for around at least 18 months.

So, two things: can anyone recommend somewhere to get fully tested for allergies please? And secondly, as I don't know what else I may have developed allergies to (🤦🏽‍♀️) what do people do in restaurants in regards to telling staff about allergies?

Shall I take an information card translated?

Please be kind, I've lived in Thailand and abroad before, but not knowing what I'm allergic to, and the worrying reaction is making me anxious. Thank you khar 🙏🏽

Edit, I'll be in Pattaya/ Jomtien

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking recommendations for allergy testing locations in Pattaya as they have developed a new allergy and are anxious about potential unknown allergies. Community responses suggest several clinics and hospitals like Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, Jomtien Medical Clinic, and Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. Additionally, advice on how to communicate allergies to restaurant staff is requested, with suggestions to consider using a translated information card. The importance of carrying multiple EpiPens for safety was also emphasized.

I went to Jomtien Medical Clinic ( next door to A Taste of Norway restaurant on Thappraya Road, Jomtien) for an allergy test. They have "packages" for tests for all sorts of things you may be allergic to. Not too expensive.

I got tested for like 20 allergic reactions when I did a full medical at bkk hospital pattaya. Apparently I'm allergic to dust mites. That's it. But I have zero idea what they were testing for with the other 19 needles but I would suggest a full allergy test.

Some pharmacies sell self administered food allergy test kits…

If no can find?

I would ask a pharmacist what options you have for this type of testing in Thailand…

Pattaya has a wonderful hospital, “Bangkok Hospital “. I’m sure they’d have an Allergy Dept. specialist.
