Australian citizen. Just got out of HKT immigration at the airport, went through on an O-A which I got from the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra Australia. No issue with the visa but the officer got out his phone and took a photo of my passport photo page, the visa page and the arrival TM6. He said it was the same for all first time O-As and his boss would get the photos. Stamped the date and waved me through without any other issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen shared their experience entering Thailand on an O-A visa, noting a routine process where the immigration officer photographed their passport's photo page, visa page, and arrival TM6 form. This procedure is reportedly standard for all first-time O-A visa holders, with the images sent to his supervisor.
