Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my entrance to Thailand as I would read this group and I am a big worrier 🤣

Straight through at Bangkok, no questions. I handed my passport, A5 laminated DTV, my boarding pass and had my TDAC on my phone ready to show. We are from England and Mexico

I literally didn't even print my DTV last time. I went through, they didnt ask to look at it even though I have it on my phone. People don't need to worry unless they're up to something shady. Their system apparently has everything they need as soon as you hand over your passport. Anyways, welcome to Thailand!

It depends on the IO. Some are asking to see the printed DTV. There are many reports about it on this group.

During my reentry last Tuesday at BKK the lady IO asked me a few things about my Muay Thai DTV. I showed her photos of my training and she joked I should be an expert now after 1 year training Muay Thai

Does your DTV say Muay Thai on it?

Did she ask what kind of DTV you have or did she just know you were on a Muay Thai DTV?

They never ask questions even without DTV. lol

You guys who get questioned when arriving on tourist visa has weak passport therefore they are suspicious and ask questions. I have never been asked anywhere, just a stamp on the passport then go.

ThoughtfulLychee5096 Wrong. I had a non-B for very long (with a legit work, no overstay, UE passeport) and got questioned twice (I had to show my WP, describe my job and name the company I was working for). That's not common but it happens. Plenty of EDs are reporting being questioned.

ThoughtfulLychee5096 Depends on your travel history into Thailand. Or where you're coming from..they're starting to question foreigners randomly regardless of what visa they're on, at Don Muang Airport, particularly arrivals from Cambodia and possibly Myanmar, but not only them.

ThoughtfulLychee5096 It is not just "weak" passport holders on tourist visas stopped. "Strong" passport arrivals on all types of visas can be stopped and questioned. Random questioning of arrivals Is part of the immigration process.

"If Any" - mine isn't paper, it's stored on my phone and been accepted four times. "The Proof of the Pudding is in the Eating" 👍👍👍

Good Luck 🍀 BTW the If Any refers to whether or not you have the DTV visa PASTED in your passport or issued by the Thai Evisa online application system by a Thai Embassy or Consulate.

@James *******
Or stored on your phone. "If any" means if you're carrying the print out. Trust me, it's worked with phone four times. I'm well and truly in the system now!

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Welcome to Thailand.
