What can I do if I cannot access my SCB app while abroad?

Hello,

I just have a question regarding my bank application from SCB

I am not in the country right now, but I just wanted to check anything on the SCB app and got the information "UNABLE TO PROCEED" while opening the app.

I’m the only one who have this issue?

As information, I made the bank account few years ago on an official way with work permit.

Saw this post and checked my SCB app.. seems the same thing has happened to me. I am currently back in the UK and not planning on returning to Thailand until the end of the year. I was warned I need to update my phone number at the beginning of the month so I emailed SCB customer service on the 8th of July to explain I was back in the UK and how could I arrange this.. no reply. I contacted AIS live chat to see if I could get a letter confirming my passport number/telephone number (my husband is still in Thailand so hoping he could go into SCB for me)... AIS live chat is useless. Call AIS, no option to speak to someone in English. Call SCB, it says if you're a foreigner "hold the line"... it gives options in thai, then hangs up- I have tried SCB 3 times and it rings once then cuts out 🥲🥲

Theres been a lot of troubles with the scb app recently, apparently affecting thais too... have you been in Thailand this year? If not, I guess you didnt get the sms from your bank telling you to go update your info (to sim-operator where they take picture and input your info). If your phone number is not same as in bank info, then you need to visit the bank too

I would say the SCB Easy app has been blocked/locked... Need to update passport to match your phone number....

(Your account won't be closed, just can't use the app)

Your app sounds like its frozen you’ll have to update your sim with your passport and bring a letter from your cell provider to your bank it’s happening to a lot of people

Quite a few expat groups reporting this. In those it has been to get a certificate from your Telecom confirming your number is tied to your ID ie passport. There can only be one number per account and has to be in your name. If you have a new passport that number needs updating at both bank and telecom. Hope it is just that and not due to visa type change.
