A BOI visa amnesty extension update. Today at Chaeng Wattana, went at 0830, out by 1200.
I had a non-o spouse visa, my wife non-imm B visa, both issued by BOI. My wife is still stuck abroad and we could not extend them. They ran out on the 13th of July.
Today they cancelled my visa. They needed copies of my wife work permit and passport which I had not taken, make sense as the visas's are tied together.
I had a British Embassy letter as well.
Stamped under consideration until the 15th of October, but told to go back around that date and will be given until the 26th, it will be busy as everyone told this.
She said I can get on more extension until the end of November with a new Embassy letter.
Very helpful staff.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user provided an update on their experience with the BOI visa amnesty extension process. They had a non-o spouse visa that was cancelled due to missing documents related to their spouse's work permit and passport. They received a temporary 'under consideration' stamp valid until mid-October and were informed about the possibility of obtaining a further extension until the end of November with the appropriate Embassy documentation. The situation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by expats regarding visa extensions, particularly when spouses are abroad.
