So i think the METV visa fits my situation to live in Thailand until i can meet the DTV requirements. Is anyone else using that one?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) can be a suitable option for those looking to stay in Thailand until they meet the requirements for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa). Users have shared experiences indicating that it is possible to extend the METV for up to 9 months through border runs and extensions. However, recent changes to the eVisa system may affect how border runs are handled moving forward.
What makes you think you don't qualify? All the Chinese are abusing it.

You can get almost 9 months from a METV if you time it right with 2 border bounces and 3 extensions. Are you aware that from 1-Jan the remaining Embassies/Consulates in SEA are switching to the eVisa system so a quick nearby border hop of around 3 days will no longer het you any Visa?
