DLT control points? (when changing ownership of car)
Hi folks, so I would like to buy a car whose owner has changed the original engine, Hyundai to Toyota. So I would like to know if engine serial number check is part of the routine control DLT performs when one applies to change of ownership. Thanks for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
When changing ownership of a car in Thailand, the Department of Land Transport (DLT) typically checks the chassis number, which is located behind the front wheel, rather than the engine serial number. One user shared their experience of changing their car's engine 12 years ago without issues related to ownership transfer, while another confirmed that during a change of ownership for a different car, only the chassis number was checked.
They normally check number on chassis behind front wheel, i changed my engine 12 years ago and never had any problems. But unsure of change of ownership i owned for twenty years
