What are the current entry experiences for tourists re-entering Thailand on a visa after a long absence?

Just some info for others worried about entering.

I've spent the last 3 years on/off in Thailand on tourist visa, visa exemption, and a 1yr student visa.

I recently left for 9 months and did a world travel trip.

Yesterday I crossed via land at the Padang Besar border with Malaysia.

No issues at all, despite the many Thai stamps in my passport.

No questions, no proof, nothing.

Just a photo, fingerprints and a slightly grumpy officer, and I was stamped in for 60 days ๐Ÿ‘

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual shared their recent experience crossing into Thailand from Malaysia after traveling for 9 months, reporting no issues with immigration despite having multiple Thai stamps in their passport. They were granted a 60-day tourist entry without the need for additional documentation. Comments from others reflect on the unpredictability of current immigration rules, concerns about potential penalties for non-compliance, and the relationships between Malaysian nationals and Thai residents.

Sometimes it depends on the OIC and do you guys know that how many Malaysians are married with southern Thai Muslim ladies or having family members in southern Thailand?? Guess all their people or father of Thai child travel frequently in and out would they get denied of their entry?? Does everyone of them have enough funds of 400k to run the Non O ??? Or 800k for retired??? Or else can I say that without money you can't have love at all??

You saying you had no problems is the same as people riding Scooters without a helmut and ignoring the rules . Its easy, no problem until some officer decides to stop and deal you . With immigration of course its a bit more serious if you dont obey the rules and the officer decides to stop you entering Thailand . Its a Holding Cell and deportation back to your home country at your expense , or if you are lucky to a neighbouring country . Not worth the risk imo .

show me those reports. Because I only hear ones that have multiple back to back visa runs on visa Exemption that had been denied . Oh And that one person that allegedly got denied for not having sufficient funds but she also had multiple entries

never said you were police. Wasn't impolite either. Regardless, pointing out someone was rejected with a 7 month gap to someone with a 9 month gap, isn't relevant. A 9 or 10 month rejection would be.
